About Me

My name is Zara Ahmad. I am a recent graduate from the Master of Teaching program at OISE. I hold Primary and Junior qualifications. I completed my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Studies at the University of Guelph Humber. I have had the opportunity to interact with children in a variety of settings including childcare, early intervention and in the classroom. These experiences have impacted my educational journey and have helped me in forming my educational philosophy. 

Every child should have an equal opportunity for quality education regardless of race, gender, ability, need or socio-economic status. Every classroom should provide students with an equitable and inclusive learning environment where they feel safe and have a strong sense of belonging. I want each child to discover their passion for learning, develop confidence and a unique voice, who in turn will become a transformative leader of tomorrow.
